Performance Opportunity: CBC Manitoba's Music for Lunch Concert Series | Deadline: June 16, 2016

Manitoba Music is working with CBC Manitoba on its series of noon hour concerts in Winnipeg this summer. Part of the Downtown Winnipeg Biz Farmer’s Market, the events will take place every Thursday in August. All events are free and open to the public.

Performances must be family-friendly in language and content. We welcome submissions from high energy Manitoba acts (1-4 band members) who are prepared to perform two or three 20-minute sets of mostly original music for an outdoor audience.

Four acts will be selected, and artists will be compensated for their performance. The final performer selection and booking process will rest with CBC Manitoba.

To be considered for a performance, you must:

  • Be available to perform over 11AM – 1PM on at least one of the following dates:
    • August 4
    • August 11
    • August 18
    • August 25
  • Be prepared to perform up to three 20-minute sets of mostly original music
  • Be a member of the American Federation of Musicians
  • Be a Manitoba Music member

Preference will be given to artists who:

  • Appeal to a wide audience
  • Have cultivated a local audience and local media coverage
  • Have a track record of strong live performances
  • Have a strong social media presence

To submit:

  • Fill out the submission form at manitobamusic.com/apply
  • Update your Manitoba Music profile with:
    • Current music
    • Short artist bio (approximately 200 words)         
    • Current high resolution image (300 dpi) uploaded to “Files” section

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

  • Music
  • Professional history
  • Demonstrated audience following
