Manitoba Music’s Indigenous Music Development Program is producing a video series called Talking Stick. The videos will feature live performances of original new music by First Nation, Metis, or Inuit artists along with short on-camera interviews.

The acts getting in front of the camera for this pilot project are new age rock band Eternal Now, singer/songwriter JC Campbell, blues/rock artist Mitchell Mozdzen, and grunge rock outfit The Bloodshots.

Production is set to begin next month with Kejic Productions’ Erica Marie Daniels at Urban Shaman in the heart of Winnipeg’s Exchange District. Targeted to music fans, industry professionals, and media, artists will also be able to use the videos for their own marketing purposes. Manitoba Music will share the productions through social media channels and on its websites to promote upcoming IMDP showcases, market development activities, and events.

The videos will be available online… stay tuned for premiere dates.
