Pride Festival Returns to The Forks

Pride Winnipeg is ready to bring its 2022 festivities to the city and this year's celebration features plenty of live music.

The annual event kicks off May 27 with a variety of activities throughout the city, culminating in the festival at The Forks on June 4 and 5.

This year's Pride Winnipeg Festival welcomes a diverse lineup of live music to the main stage including headliners and high energy DJ duo House of Gold Diamonds (Mama Cutsworth and DJ J. Jackson), DJ and choreographer Kilusan, indie-alternative project JayWood, bilingual singer-songwriter SoulBear, up-and-coming indie outfit Booter, and DJs Lucky Sharms, Wanda G, and MC Luv. 

The Kids Stage will feature live music from headliner Jessee Havey & the Banana Band, fronted by Grammy and JUNO-winning singer/songwriter and ukulele player Jessee Havey of The Duhks, Métis/Franco-Manitoban artist Andrina Turenne, and indie pop singer/songwriter Sophie Stevens.

The Canada Stage will feature performances by several touring artists including singer/songwriter Angel Baribeau, JUNO Award winner G.R. Gritt, The Della Kit's dreamy looped mountain melodies, and T. Thomason, as well as local DJs Krista Mac, Lucky Sharms, and Louie Lovebird.

Pride Winnipeg organizes five milestone events including the Flag Raising, Vigil, Rally, Parade, and Festival. In addition to Pride's programming, there are often dozens of events organized by the community during Pride Season. This year, Pride Winnipeg is also hosting the Canada Pride 2022 Human Rights Conference from June 1-3. 2022 at the Radisson Hotel Downtown. Check out pridewinnipeg.com for all the details.
