Future Fest Highlights Up-and-Coming Local Hip Hop and R&B Acts

Jet City Records is shining a spotlight on up-and-coming local hip hop and R&B acts with its Future Fest event this month. Taking the stage at the Exchange Event Centre on May 20, the all-ages show features three headliners and a packed lineup of rising stars.

The night's headliners include blind music producer and rapper Mattmac from Garden Hill First Nation, Winnipeg-born and Windsor-based Max Winds from Lost Souls Entertainment, and Jet City Records and Motivation Art Programs (MAPs) founder Mic North, who will pull double duty as the Future Fest host.

Emerging acts taking the mic include Reynalyne Gacilan, FTN, Jordan Holden, AR Scully, Fijji, Sleepy Zay, T Jay, St. Vital, Kash Kiyo, Vital, Troublded, Nate Devine, Spaghking, Chain Link, Nucky JMC, and more.

DJ Disspare and DJ Indamix will also spin hip hop and R&B tunes for the event, which will feature an 18+ afterparty with performances from rappers Hellnback and Charlie Fettah, John Smith from Peanuts & Corn, and more TBA. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketweb.
