Come Together: Canada’s Coast-to-Coast Artist Showcases & Industry Mingler in Toronto

Posted on

Artists from across Canada are converging in Toronto this month for the third annual celebration of live music at the Come Together showcases and industry meetings.

Ten music industry associations -- Alberta Music, Music BC, CIMA, Manitoba Music, Music New Brunswick, Music NL, Music Nova Scotia, Music Ontario, SODEC Quebec, and Sask Music -- have joined forces to get on stage and connect in person with fans, industry, and other artists.

The showcases will run November 14 at The Baby G and the following evening at Dine Alone Records, featuring performances from a dozen acclaimed artists including award winners and international touring acts. The artists from Manitoba joining this year’s lineup include Métis/Franco-Manitoban artist Andrina Turenne and singer/songwriter Field Guide

Other artists hitting the stage include Ivytide and Virginie B from Quebec, Mimi O'Bonsawin from Ontario, Pastel Blank and Xana from BC, Pillow Fite from Nova Scotia, Skinny Dyck and Sinzere from Alberta, The Radiant and Tova from Saskatchewan.

Come Together will also feature afternoons of business events between the showcasing artists, their representatives, and Toronto-based industry and music companies.

This year’s event follows up a successful reemergence into live music in 2021 and the strengthening of the national music community in 2022, capturing the importance of in-person connection and the energy of performances live on stage.

This project is made possible by the generous support from FACTOR through the financial support of the Government of Canada and Canada's private radio broadcasters, Government of Manitoba, Manitoba Film & Music, and FACTOR Canada, Government of Alberta, Creative BC, Government of British Columbia, Government of Nova Scotia, and Creative Saskatchewan.
