Manitoba Acts & Companies Build International Connections at SXSW

Six Manitoba-based acts are headed due south this month for the creative flurry of SXSW, North America’s largest music industry event, to build an international fanbase and connect with major industry players. SXSW's music festival is a key stop for new, developing, and established artists looking to reach new audiences and make critical business connections.
Not-quite-country musician Amos the Kid, honky tonk singer/songwriter Bobby Dove, indie pop act Boniface, JUNO-nominated husband and wife folk duo Burnstick, psychedelic alternative rock outfit Holy Void, and indie rock band Living Hour will take the festival stages during the massive music fest.
Manitoba-based music companies heading to the festival to support their rosters and build connections include First Date Touring, Misfit Music MGMT / Odd Doll Records, and Signal Noise Music Marketing.
All of this year's showcasing acts and companies have built significant national and international activity, including business deals, overseas tours, major media coverage, and more.
