AIRsessions Returns for Sixth Season

Founder and curator Ila Barker is launching a new season of AIRsessions free hybrid music mentorship for Indigenous aspiring, emerging, and establishing music artists ages 13-30 (ish), located in Northern Turtle Island (Canada).
The music workshop series is focused on artist mentorship, community connections, and building safer spaces. Now in its sixth season, AIRsessions will feature guest artists in residence who share their story, craft, and skills alongside lead mentor Barker. The sessions will take place via Zoom, are free to attend, and are like a live podcast where participants can sit in and participate or ask questions. AIRsessions' online sessions run Mondays and Thursdays from 5 - 7 PM CT.
Regular participants are offered additional mentorship opportunities including access to one-on-one mentoring hours with their choice of mentor (or mentor pairing) and access to applying for other opportunities with AIR happening later in the season including virtual and in-person incubator-style residencies programming.
Participation is reserved for those who are:
- Indigenous (self-identifying as First Nations, Métis, and/or Inuit)
- Age 13-30 ish
- Aspiring or emerging music artist or industry person
