We’re back with a new Feedback at a new location… Next Door! Feedback is Manitoba Music’s open-house style networking, mentorship, and community-building event. It’s a space for members to get guidance from local industry professionals and an opportunity to share thoughts and exchange ideas with music peers. Every Feedback session, we invite music industry mentors from different backgrounds and experiences to hang out, answer questions, and provide folks with some guidance.

Elliott Walsh
Nestor Wynrush / Trinipeg / The Live Mixtape
He / Him
Elliott Walsh (Nestor Wynrush) is a Winnipeg, Treaty 1 based emcee, musician, poet and program facilitator. He has been active in the city's music scene for 20+ years performing, mentoring youth and organizing events.
As a musician he's toured throughout North America and Europe. Wynrush has been critically well received and consistently charted on national campus radio. He has proven to be a niche artist that creates works with verve and recognized purpose. Issues of accessibility and celebrating his Caribbean roots are painted all over his catalogue.
He is a former Polaris Prize Juror, youth arts program manager, UNITY facilitator, campus and commercial radio broadcaster, and music journalist. In recent years he has joined forces with Synonym Art Consultation in assistance on their Wall To Wall mentorship and performance projects. He is currently a consultant on a history of Winnipeg Rap book and his written works have been published in a number of books. Musically, he is working on "The Live Mixtape: bell hooks edition." That project will be presented and performed at The WECC in the fall of 2022 in collaboration with many members of Winnipeg's vibrant music scene. He believes music is an element of change and therapy through the caring acts of vulnerability and honesty with oneself, collaborators & with the audience.

Hailey Hunter is a musician, and the Social Media & Webstore Coordinator for Birthday Cake Media. With a background in Public Relations and Digital Marketing, she blends creativity and strategy to help Manitoba artists grow their presence and connect with new audiences. Beyond her work behind the scenes, Hailey is an active part of the local music scene — known for her hands-on approach to visuals and her commitment to helping artists make their ideas happen!

Rebecca Szymkow is a dedicated music industry professional with over a decade of experience in event programming, artist development, and operations. Her career has taken her through key roles at Paquin Artists Agency, Birthday Cake Records, the Winnipeg Art Gallery and Good People Records. A passionate advocate for gender equity in the music industry, Rebecca was selected as an Innovator for the Keychange initiative in 2020, recognizing her commitment to creating opportunities for women and gender-diverse individuals. Her work goes beyond management and logistics; she is dedicated to fostering a more inclusive industry, mentoring emerging talent and continuously pushing for positive change.
