Alexanne’s musical journey began in Winnipeg, where she developed a love for performance and songwriting. She later moved to Nelson, British Columbia, to study vocal performance, where she refined her voice and expanded her musical range. Alexanne grew up listening to a wide range of music that shaped her musical palette. Everything from The Beatles to The Beach Boys to Louis Armstrong, to newer artists like Lizzy McAlpine and Canadian legends such as Sarah McLaughlin. Alexanne brings a depth of emotion and nuance to her work, with each song showcasing her ability to blend genres while maintaining an authentic, personal sound.

Over the years, Alexanne has performed at a variety of venues across Winnipeg, including The Met, The West End Culture Centre, The Park Theatre, and The Goodwill, as well as restaurants such as Little Brown Jug and Rae & Jerry's. Known for her ability to reduce her songs to their most essential form—just her voice and a piano or guitar—Alexanne creates an intimate atmosphere that connects deeply with her audience. Her live performances are praised for their raw emotion, where her powerful voice shines through, whether delivering heartfelt ballads or more upbeat, groove-driven tracks.
