Birthday Cake was established in Winnipeg by musicians Dave & Joey Landreth (The Bros. Landreth), alongside their manager Stu Anderson (Mighty Cypress). Born in a 2nd balcony office in the historic Burton Cummings Theatre, Birthday Cake combines music publishing, label services, and artist development. The team, led by a community of artists and music industry nerds, share a hands-on, artist-first approach to building careers and audiences. We connect our artist-pals with a living, breathing independent community that provides resources and a foundation to grow their careers. We’ve released and represented music from the likes of Begonia, The Bros. Landreth, Field Guide, Joey Landreth, Leith Ross, Living Hour, Mariel Buckley, Slow Leaves, and various independent label imprints, and more. “Family-owned” and operated, we’ve established global, strategic partnerships that allow us to provide full-fledged publishing, label, and artist development services to the artists who share our vision. We value good vibes and thrive in a collaborative environment.
