Meet Manitoba’s best frogs-turned-children’s-act: Croakinole and Croakette! After meeting in a nearby pond, it was love at first sight for these web-footed songsters who now make music for both the young and the young at heart. Expect to dance, wiggle and hop along to tunes about what it means to be green.

Croakinole & Croakette is the brainchild of real-life partners in love and music, Mario and Brittany Lagassé. Combined, the pair have over 25 years of professional experience in Winnipeg’s music and theatre scene. After receiving a commission from One Trunk Theatre to write a short musical based on these characters, they went on to receive funding from the Manitoba Arts Council to develop a full length kids show. Croakinole and Croakette appeared at Green Kids’ Bike & Circuses last summer and look forward to performing in July at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival.
