About
20 years can do a lot to a person
Struggling to fit in a scene that didn't want me
Singing songs that nobody wanted to hear in places that nobody wanted to be
For 20 years I just wanted to be accepted
But I was left alone
I hit bottom
It became my mission to end the music industry
I would create the music that would inspire all the writers and artists in the world to put down their instruments
All the suffering, all the toil, it didn’t matter anymore.
They can finally rest
Music no longer has to be made. It is finished.
I went to the Eihei-Ji temple.
I found bald men watching TV. Working cosmetics.
Mopping floors
I sat on a mountain holding a blue flower.
I flowed into the stream where I found The Ampersand.
He showed me the way
I thought I was put on this earth to destroy the music industry
Turns out I was here to save the world.
Ryan Whiskey’s buzzy guitars and The Ampersand’s smooth bass dance over Curtis Ullman’s tight steady beats, deftly traversing genres as Snarky Remarkable’s gritty vocals delve deep into the hopelessness, boredom and disappointment inherent in the human condition. They have shared their intense brand of roots/punk/soul psychedelia with patrons of such classic Winnipeg locales as The Park Alleys, Osborne Taphouse and The Sidestage while recording their debut album “The Great” which is set to release February 28, 2025 and is certain to end all music. Welcome, and welcome to the revolution.
