Adult Contemporary Pop Rock
Jamie Brose was born in Kenora, Ontario in 1960, with strong familial musical influence. “We had to sing grace in four-part harmony before we got to eat,” mused Jamie of his early years. He and his siblings were students of music from the beginning, his father having taught music for his full-time living.
Today, having left his suit and tie in the corporate world, Jamie has decided to make more out of the decades he spent as an adult performing, teaching and composing. “It was always a thread of sanity running through an otherwise chaotic world” he’d often claim. Having since won countless awards for his original music, Jamie is now recognized on the international music scene.
“My over 30 years experience in the industry allow me to consider Jamie Brose as a more than worthwhile investment,” says producer Walter Rossi, known to have played with heavy-weights such as Wilson Pickett and Buddy Myles, and who himself was a Juno award-winning player, vocalist, and producer. At the time during this interview, he also concluded that anyone choosing to participate in any of Jamie’s projects would no doubt be involved in the creation of “a high-quality end product of international commercial value”.
As it relates to recognition, since 2013 Jamie’s music has received regular annual praises from the judging panels of various international songwriting contests, including the “United Kingdom Songwriting Contest” (UKSC), “Song of the Year Awards”, and the “International Songwriting Awards” (ISA). Over a relatively short period of time, he has amassed more than 40 different awards, with more than half of them achieving a top position of “Finalist”. One year, the “Song of the Year” global competition ranked his entry in the “top 1% of all material submitted”. And his most notable achievement to date arrived during the 2018 UKSC awards, where his submission “Badlands”, was ranked #1 in the “Rock” category by a judging panel led by acclaimed British producer and audio engineer Stuart Epps and his award team. Stuart himself, has personally worked with Elton John, Led Zeppelin, George Harrison, Oasis, among countless others. “You got to like this music”, he claimed during his assessment.
Jamie’s original material layers story telling over creative chord transitions and smooth rhythms, and are guaranteed to inspire crowds. His lyrics are sincere and meaningful, and come from his own direct life experiences without the “fluff”. Additionally, he has invested substantially in his search for a proven, award-winning producer, capable of delivering the type of sound and feel he seeks. Accordingly, his studio and live performances include appearances with some of the world’s most respectable artists.
At the moment, Jamie is busy writing and recording new material, which he ascertains to be yet stronger than that of his past. And as with his other recordings, is actively and carefully assessing the best approach to releasing and promoting his newest musical works. Between these performing experiences and his own creative writing genius, Jamie Brose & The Destination will always make a welcome and refreshing addition to our pop-rock industry scene.
“Definitely one to watch!” – Murray Pulver, Independent Producer, and award-winning guitarist for Doc Walker, the Crash Test Dummies, and numerous other successful Canadian musical projects.
“I mean this …… honest to god …… this is very, very, very good …… better than fine wine …… “ – Winnipeg’s own legendary Howard Mansheim, 92 CITI FM CD Premier, Harlequin II
