KC Is Lazy. Or is she?
Raised in a tiny village in eastern block Germany, with one telephone and a stasi file on everyone, she matured through the DIY folk scene in Berlin, and rapidly became an Americana touring staple through Germany and neighbouring EU countries as KC McKanzie.
Rolling Stone Magazine described her music as: "A far cry from boring Folklore."
After a move to London, UK she turned up the volume and formed indie artrock band Leisure Tank.
A decade later a move to Winnipeg, Canada where she writes, produces and records as KC Is Lazy.
Her new body of work is rooted in folk tradition yet leads into unique perspectives.
KC Is Lazy presents herself in her own,erie, plaintive and rootsy style by drawing from a well of personal history and culture.
The melodies she plays on a variety of instruments teem with ideas and perfectly accompany her unique voice and vocal arrangements.
