About
Influenced by his musical family, Keith K. Dutiaume is no stranger to the stage.
It was inevitable that Keith would find his place in the music community. Keith’s father, “Keith Dutiaume Sr.” who was an iconic drummer, was inducted into the Manitoba Country Music Association Hall of Fame in 2022 for his role in the legendary local band The Younger Brothers.
Keith fronted his own bands around the South East Manitoba area in his young adulthood. Keith has been touring across Canada for the last 3 years as the drummer for the legendary C-Weed Band. He has played music festivals and awards shows, such as Dauphin’s Country Fest and Indigenous People’s Choice Awards. Keith has had the honour of playing drums for a long list of our biggest local gems including but not limited to. Desiree Dorion, Jade Turner, Nelson Little, Leanne Pearson Diana Desjardins and Kimberley Dawn. Keith has also spent countless hours in back-up bands for talent shows across the northern communities. He is no stranger to the hard work and dedication it takes to make it in this business.
It’s been an exciting year for Keith, as he played his first showcase at the CCMAs in Edmonton (Diamonds in the Rough) and was recently nominated for his first MCMA award as Drummer of the Year.
Excitedly, Keith is now embarking on a new phase of his career as an independent artist. Over the better part of the decade Keith has been accumulating original tracks, so he decided to start producing his own solo EP. He called it Long Overdue, as it is! This project is a great introduction to Keith’s musical ability and unique songwriting talents. With his country influenced 90s rock style sound, you can expect to hear a collection of songs that he feels will make you want to cruise the highway with your music loud.
Long Overdue is set to be released in April of 2025.
