No Metro

No Metro is the stage name of Winnipeg pop/rock singer-songwriter Dane Bjornson. This recent rebrand was inspired by the refreshed 2009 alt/rock sound that's made it's way into his music that TikTok comments describe as "nostalgic". His first release under a new artist name was titled Showmance, and released in October 2025. It's a pop-rock theatre kid anthem featuring Marianas Trench inspired harmonies and layers of guitars and synths similar to The Band Camino, and has garnered some airplay on CBC Radio One.

Before a switch to No Metro, Dane had been performing under his own as a solo artist around the country. sharing stages with acts such as Chief State, Down with Webster and Said the Whale. Notably, he was a member of the band Electric Ave on YTV's The Next Star SuperGroup in 2014. Between 2022 and 2023, he released two singles titled Nothing At All and Fallin'. both synth-pop songs co-produced by Edmonton-based producer Leo Sudden. Previously, he'd released a 7-song album titled Wondering, recorded at the studios in MacEwan University, while he was completing his BMus, majoring in recording and production.
