The Primary Phase Principle

Alternative Electronic Industrial Instrumental

About

The Primary Phase Principle is an instrumental electronic and post-industrial solo project of Eric St-Onge in Winnipeg.

Influences include Nine Inch Nails, Tangerine Dream, and science fiction stories.

TPPP's music attempts to create and convey fictional worlds and stories, without the use of lyrics. Each track is thoughtfully crafted, often with highly dynamic structures and instrumentation that tends toward blending dark electronic tones with bright organic melodies.

The focus is on producing cohesive concept albums rather than standalone singles.

The Primary Phase Principle's debut album, Echoes of the Mechatronic Age, offers glimpses into a fictional civilization that has become fully dependent on a massive global machine that they no longer understand and whose true purpose now eludes them. The follow-up album, Collapse Of The Sightless Age, provides a conclusion to this unfortunate scenario.

The albums are paired with digital booklets that provide a more detailed exploration of the story and lore behind the music, along with additional visuals.
