Experimental Indie New Wave Rock
Warming is a music project formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is the moniker of multi-instrumentalist and synthpop artist Brady Allard.
In 2024, Warming returned with his sophomore full-length, Toil Boy, a darker, more introspective shift into darkwave. The ten-track album grapples with themes of alienation under late capitalism and the pervasive despondency of modern life.
Allard left his job and home to live in a minivan, where he wrote and recorded his self-titled debut album, Warming (2019)—a driving mix of pop and twisted synth noise that propelled him onto the international stage. Following its release, he toured extensively across Canada, the UK, Europe, and Asia.
