Karen Hammarstrand is ready to share some new music. The singer/songwriter is set to release her multi-genre album, Still Life, with a celebration at Times Change(d) on June 8. Beyond highlighting her new music, the event also shares support for local communities, with 20% of proceeds from album sales going to Mood Disorders of Manitoba and proceeds from Hammarstrand's watercolours going to support Urban Wagon, which serves Winnipeggers without shelter. Produced and engineered at Paintbox Recording by Lloyd Peterson and Rusty Robot with Jonathan Alexiuk, the new recording follows up Hammarstrand's 2015 debut, Late Blooming. She's already earned recent coverage from Canadian Beats, Great Dark Wonder, jazz blogger Debora Burke, and more.
