“Brazilian Vibe” is a seductive harmony between Canada and Brazil!

Shaped by the Canadian landscape, Guylaina is an experienced vocalist whose passion for Brazilian music led her to study in the iconic neighborhood of Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Her genuine interpretations blend the elegance of jazzy Bossa Nova, inspired by legends like Antonio Carlos Jobim, with the vibrant rhythms of Samba, drawn from the sounds of contemporary Brazilian artists—both of which are celebrated worldwide as symbols of Brazilian culture.

Guylaina’s love for travel has taken her from Africa to Latin America, where she immersed herself in multicultural environments and discovered a deep connection to Brazilian music.

During her formal musical studies at both Faculty of Music at the University of Regina and University of Manitoba she actively participated in symphonic choirs and explored various musical styles, playing flute and often accompanied herself on guitar. 

In 2016, she discovered her mojo with the founding of "Brazilian Vibe". Since then, she has performed at numerous festivals and venues across Western Canada.  She recently initiated an additional musical project, "Bella Jazz 1930s"— revealing her versatility as a vocalist.  

Marcos Martins is a refined guitarist from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, who brings extensive cultural insight to the band. Prior to relocating to Canada, he was actively involved in a range of musical projects throughout Brazil. Marcos earned his Master’s degree in Music Performance from Brandon University in Manitoba, Canada.

Dhiego Costa is a Brazilian pianist who shares a rich background in jazz interpretation from his extensive touring across Brazil and his ongoing collaborations with Winnipeg’s most renowned artists from the local music scene.

Paul Klassen is a versatile and driven drummer whose experience spans touring across North America and working as a highly in-demand session musician. His addition infuses the group with fresh energy and tight rhytms.

In collaboration with some of the finest musicians in town, "Brazilian Vibe" promises to captivate your imagination—whether performing as a warm duet or a vibrant full ensemble.
