APOLLO SUNS
Born from the fusing of eight Winnipeg-based musicians, Apollo Suns have created a refreshing and innovative sound and live performance combining jazz, funk, rock, and psychedelic music. Their debut, Each Day a Different Sun, helped them win Instrumental Artists of the Year at the 2018 at the Western Canadian Music Awards and spent seven weeks on Earshot! National Top 50 charts with its top position at #15. The band is in the midst of recording new music with a release date slated for the spring of 2019. They're upcoming Canadian tour will take them coast to coast, including spots at Ness Creek Music Festival and Golden Sound Music Festival, laying the groundwork for their first foray into the US after teamed up with Californian-based booking agent John Lares of Cielo Agency.
SILENCE KIT
Fresh from the release of their new album, Silence Kit presents: Kitty Kitty, produced with Jesse Gander (Japandroids, White Lung, Pack AD), and a tour of Ontario and Quebec, the four piece’s sound has been characterized as everything from alt-rock to post punk, a staple made readily apparent by their intimate and explosive live performances that always deliver on energy and passion.
JAYWOOD
Up-and-coming artist JayWood, aka Jeremy Haywood-Smith, carrries a unique sound that has been entirely self-taught. He combines indie-pop with jazz chords and a psychedelic feel. Currently working on his first full-length, his music is heart-felt and therapeutic at its core, but his music hosts a feel-good dance party at live performances.
