Times Change(d) High and Lonesome Club is celebrating a dozen years of live music, housecoats, and bean burritos with a three-night birthday bash this weekend. The venerable institution is often considered one of the best places to catch roots and blues in Winnipeg.

Kicking off the party on January 10 is a tribute to Townes Van Zandt by some faces familiar to club goers, including Dan FrechetteMicah Erenberg, Brooke Wylie, Andrew Neville, Andrew Courtnage, and T.J. Blair

Blues rockers The Perpetrators will get things rolling on January 11 and The Jakebrakes will wrap up the weekend on January 12.

The venue, which opened in its current incarnation in 2001, has established a loyal fan base amongst music fans and musicians across the country.

Upcoming events include the In the Back series, featuring  The F-Holes backing some of their favourite performers every Tuesday for the month of January, including Chris Carmicheal, Scott Nolan, and Jess Reimer. Check out the Live Music Calendar for more music listings.
