The Noble Thiefs

This August, it’ll be easy to get some local into your lunch at Old Market Square. TD Canada Trust, Manitoba Music, and the Exchange District BIZ are joining forces for the second year to present a series of free lunch hour concerts highlighting Manitoba talent at The Cube stage.

Running noon to 1 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, TD Manitoba Live at The Cube kicks off August 5 with a special hometown performance from expat bluegrass act Jaxon Haldane and his band for a launch event hosted by the folks from QX 104 and FAB 94.3. The series’ diverse lineup runs the genre spectrum, featuring performances from country soul outfit Sol James, Canadiana-infused art rock band Odanah, Latin jazz mainstay Combo Latino, country singer/songwriter Quinton Blair, and R&B/rock crew The Noble Thiefs.

The Winnipeg Folk Festival will join in the lunchtime festivities to present four concerts throughout the month -- including Haldane's spot and more, MEME Festival will take over the stage for a mid-month date with local DJ duo The Shake, and Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra will also bring the classics to the crowd for one show.

With new food and drink hot spots like King + Bannatyne, Bronuts, and the Albert Street Cocktail Co. joining the Exchange favourites just few paces from The Cube stage, it's the perfect recipe for a fantastic lunch this summer.
