Big Fun Festival Unleashes 2019 Lineup

















Big Fun is ready to warm up your winter. The indie winter festival is ready to take over Winnipeg January 23-27, offering up five days of music on various city stages including The Good Will, The Handsome Daugher, Times Change(d), Grey Owl Coffee & Tea, Westminster United Church, and The Forks Market. This year's event features a dozen concerts and over 30 acts, including many headlining locals.
This year's eclectic lineup includes Yes We Mystic, Warming, Two Crows for Comfort, The Grey Jays, Mulligrub, Marisolle Negash, Malcolm-Jay, Leaf Rapids, Kakagi, Joanne Pollock, glassreel, and ATLAAS, just to name a few.
A thwack of other Manitobans take the stage throughout the festival alongside touring artists, including Indigenous hip hop duo from BC Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Atlantic queer lo-fi garage group Partner, Montreal’s electronic soul balladeer NOVEMBER, Ottawa’s black metal outfit Occult Burial, and more. Manitoba Music is joining the Big Fun fun again this year with a Manitoba Music Showcase on January 25 at The Forks Market with Apollo Suns, Silence Kit, and JayWood.
Big Fun and Manitoba Music will also present a panel discussion on representation and intersectionality in music at The Tallest Poppy on January 24 at 6PM during this year's January Music Meeting.
