Qway-C

About

Born in the prairies of Canada, with a West African decent, Qway-C appreciation for music stretches over many genres, but mostly in the areas of Afrobeats, Hip Hop and mostly R&B. A big influence was Sunday mass where he started to understand the benefit of chorus, rythym and word play.

In 2014, Qway-C signed with a local Winnipeg Label Young Successful Music Group (Y.S.M.G), under the leadership of the now deceased Aboriginal Canadian Rap Legend Jamie Prefontaine aka Brooklyn, previously known by many as a member of the HipHop trio  Winnipeg's Most under Heatbag Records. A few of Qway-C's contributions are heard in "Call My Lawyer", "Grind Hard", and "We Don't Play" as well as background vocals to Brookyn's farewell track "Fly Away".

Qway C took part as a feature on Ben Tamana’s “First Time Lover”, for his first ever project in 2015. He then continued on to his first international feature with Mauro G on “One Time” in 2021. Qway C has since had a handful of solo and featured projects through to 2022. To start off his EMB partnership, Qway C released his newest hot Afrobeat single and official video “5 Star Whine” featuring R.O.Z.
