Based in Winnipeg, Canada, the exciting power pop punk trio - The 1221 - was originally formed in Manila, Philippines. Young, energetic, and performance driven, the numerically-named act consists of three talented brothers: Roman Maceda (vocals/guitars), and twins Rico Maceda (bass/vocals) and Roque Maceda (drums). Their sound is an exciting blend of precision, modern pop punk tunes with a striking rock n' roll presentation. The 1221 recently released their latest singles "I Remember You" and "Only One" and been featured on Spotify's Fresh Find Philippiines playlist. The brothers came back from their successful tour of the Philippines in March 2020, from playing in well known venues to performing on national television in Manila. In 2019, the band won the Jim Beam National Talent Search in Canada and performed at Canadian Music Week in Toronto soon after that. Released their sophomore EP entitled, Hello Yellow on the same year. Opened for a rock icons, Arnel Pineda of Journey, The Rippers and Mobina Galore. They've also performed at 92.1 CITI FM and at The Village Idiots' Facebook live series, Live At The Roslyn in Manitoba, Canada.
