"Home Is Where My Heart Is"
From the album The Long Way Home
Featured track, available from March 17 to March 24
For two seasons, Low Budget Production's Live at the... series has broadcast a number of talented local artists right into the homes of MTS TV Winnipeg On Demand subscribers. Last year, the series was picked up by CBC and got a nod from the Western Canadian Music Awards. Now it's back and ready to record. The third installment takes over the Garrick Theatre on March 18 for a free public show featuring award-winning singer/songwriter Don Amero, pop/rock duo Keith and Renee, and country crooner Jerry Sereda (who's fresh from his Canadian Music Week showcase). The bands hit the stage at 7:30pm.
We're offering a taste of what you'll catch at the live show with Amero's song "Home Is Where My Heart Is" as our featured free download in The Loudspeaker. Amero is a busy guy, lately. Just days before filming Live at the..., he was in Las Vegas for a showcase at the Reservation Economic Summit. After filming, he'll get ready to shoot his first music video for his song "Right Where I Wanna Be" with director James Rewucki of Absurd Machine, which is due out at the end of the month. You don't need to wait until then to see him... just head to the Garrick on March 18 and maybe you'll catch yourself on TV when the show is broadcast.
Every week, Manitoba Music offers free a downloadable music track by a great local artist. Available for a limited time from Thursday to Thursday, be sure to grab these songs while you can... and to check back for more!
