Imaginary Cities

From the album Temporary Resident

Featured track, available from April 21 to April 28

In the space of a few months, Imaginary Cities' name has cropped up in a thwack of good news. The pop/soul act signed to Montreal's Hidden Pony Records and Germany's Grand Hotel Van Cleef Records, its debut release Temporary Resident was the Globe & Mail's Disc of the Week and hit the #1 spot on the Canadian college charts before it was even released, the duo appeared on the Live in Winnipeg edition of CBC's Q with Jian Ghomeshi, made an appearance on AUXtv, showcased at Canadian Music Week and South by Southwest, and landed the supporting slot for Pixies entire North American tour. The band swings through its hometown with the legendary Pixies for two dates at the Centennial Concert Hall on April 26 and 27. Local audiences will also have the chance to catch them live in the great outdoors when they hit the Winnipeg Folk Festival in July. While you're waiting, treat yourself to Imaginary Cities' "Hummingbird," which is free and waiting for you in The Loudspeaker
