In honour of Will and Kate's impending nuptials, Balanced Records is releasing a new track called "At His Majesty's Side"! Naw, we're just kidding. The Winnipeg electronic label is actually celebrating its tenth birthday this month and the brand new track is off the fifth volume of its Northern Faction series, which is set for release later this summer. The reggae influenced dubstep tune comes courtesy of two of the operators behind Balanced, Kasm and The Seed Organization, and includes some melodica playing by multi-instrumentalist Jen Nembhard of Pan Handlers of Manitoba. You can catch Kasm and The Seed Organization (and many others, including Joe Silva and Mama Cutsworth) performing at the Balanced 10 year anniversary party at Studios In The Exchange on April 30, or over the airwaves regularly on Quadrafunk, Winnipeg longest running DJ radio show on CKUW.
