From the album Life on the Road
Featured track, available from July 14 to July 21
Jason Kirkness spends a lot of time on tour, so It's only fitting that he titled his album Life on the Road. The country rocker, who hails from Southeastern Manitoba, debuted the new CD on MDM Recordings in June and released single "No Cowboy" on Canada Day, when he also took over The Forks' Scotiabank Stage for the Manitoba Music Live event. Winnipeg audiences can catch Kirkness at The Cube in Old Market Square on July 18 for the free Fringe Fest outdoor stage. Next, he has dates around Manitoba, including stops in Brandon, Swan River's Northwest Roundup & Rodeo, and Grunthal's Hanover Ag. In August, Kirkness will head out for a three-week tour of eastern Canada (be looking for him in early September at Country Music Week in Hamilton). Kirkness released a video for "Run Me Away" a few months ago and just finished filming a new video for "No Cowboy", which just happens to be our featured download this week. Grab the track, check out the album, and catch Kirkness live on stage!
