The suitcase in Les Jupes' brooding video "What Am I Doing Here", the latest edition of the Loft Sessions, is perhaps no accident. The indie rock outfit is going to be spending an awful lot of time on the road. After a whirlwind tour across western Canada, Les Jupes lands in Winnipeg for the hometown release of new EP Negative Spaces -- produced by Rusty Matyas and engineered by Cam Loeppky -- on September 20 at the West End Cultural Centre. Next, Les Jupes jet off to a showcase at Pop Montreal and then across the ocean for its second appearance at Germany's Reeperbahn Festival and follow that up with a UK tour, including several London dates, and then spend the rest of October touring the U.S. For you this week we have "Hold Me Down", which UK site The Sound of Confusion called "another hit of an irresistable song".
