"Who knew there was no such thing as a endless summer?" asks Mise en Scene wistfully in this week's featured download. Manitobans looking to squeeze in some more summer music festival action can head to The Forks Historic Port on Labour Day Long Weekend for The Prairie Barge Festival! Running August 29-31, the event showcases the vibrant talent of Manitoba and Saskatchewan just a few feet away from the Assiniboine River, including a stellar musical lineup featuring Chic Gamine, The Deep Dark Woods, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Jason Plumb, and many more. Pop/rock faves Mise en Scene will hit the Barge Festival stage on Saturday at 5PM with its signature energy before gearing up for a busy fall that includes a coveted showcase spot at Australia's Big Sound. Stay tuned for something new when the weather turns colder. Meanwhile, Mise en Scene has a super brand new video for "Givin' Up Too Easy" -- another tune off the band's acclaimed release on Winnipeg-based label Pipe & Hat.
