Sheena Grobb
"The Hard Way"
From the album The Breakless Heart
Featured track, available from September 11 to September 18
Sheena Grobb returns to centre stage this month with a new offering, The Breakless Heart. Over her career, the singer/songwriter has earned acclaim, including a Western Canadian Music Award nomination for her Safe Guarded Space debut, a Los Angeles Music Awards nomination, and the attention of former So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Lindsay Nelko, who collaborated on Grobb's video for "Get Out Alive". Grobb takes to the West End Cultural Centre stage for a two-night celebration of her new album, Sep 14 and Sep 17. Recorded at Winnipeg's ClearLightSound, the album is already turning heads, including a nod from the engineers at London's famed Abbey Road Studios. Grobb is simultaneously sharing her story through The Living Compassion Project video series, with videographer Julie Epp. Her song "The Hard Way" is this week's featured song. Download it, read more about Sheena Grobb's story in the Metro and CBC, and catch her live at the WECC.
