"Dis-moi si tu m'aimes"
From the album Stereonucleose
Featured track, available from February 19 to February 27
Rame à la recontre returns to Winnipeg this weekend with two free showcases on February 20 and 21 plus an afternoon industry panel focused on building Western Canadan's Francophone music scene. Once again taking place during Festival du Voyageur, the event builds on the success of last year’s inaugural Rame à la rencontre and a Montreal edition in October, welcoming industry tastemakers from Canada and France. One of the Manitoba acts hitting the showcase stage is rap artist Alpha Toshineza, who joins WCMA-nominated singer/songwriter Jocelyne Baribeau and Saskatchewan's Mario Lepage at St. B restaurant Dwarf no Cachette on February 20. Hailing originally from Luxembourg, Toshineza moved to Canada last year after building a name for himself on the European hip hop scene as Gospel Emcee, including his 2013 release, Stereonucleose. Now based in Winnipeg, Toshineza has just released his newest video for “Dis-moi si tu m’aimes”, his first project recorded in Manitoba. Stay tuned for a new song in a few weeks plus a new EP slated for late summer of this year. Meanwhile, we've got one of the tracks off Stereonucleose, “Dis-moi si tu m’aimes”, as this week's featured song. Download it and don't miss Alpha Toshineza and more at Rame à la recontre this weekend!
