The Exchange District looks a liiiiittle different right now. The Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival has taken over, bringing hoards of theatre-goers to the heart of the city. Fringe has also brought with it plenty of live music. Over 50 local acts will hit The Cube stage between July 13-24 for free concerts. One of the Manitoba acts getting in on the Fringe fun is Holly Ruth and The Greyjays.The indie outfit -- which blends roots and rock with some jazz and soul -- help close the fest at outdoor stage at 4PM on July 24. Holly Ruth herself will pop on the airwaves, chatting with CKUW on July 22 and doing a radio session at UMFM this weekend to record some tracks that are slated for release later on in the year. You can also catch the Holly Ruth and guitarist Finley Allison live at Times Change(d) on July 28. We've got the band's tune "Molecules" off its debut album Birds for you as this week's feature track. Get in and go out, soak up the Fringe, and don't miss Holly Ruth and The Greyjays live.
