Kelly Bado
"Si L'amour"

From the album Entre deux

Featured track, available from September 22 to September 30

Kelly Bado is making her mark. Born in Côte d'Ivoire, the bilingual singer/songwriter made the move to Winnipeg eight years ago and has been steadily building a fanbase for her blend of R&B, soul, pop, folk, and jazz. Her first single, a tribute to Africa, won SOCAN's Best Song Award at Chant’Ouest competition in 2013. Over the summer, Bado has landed on several stages, including the Winnipeg International Jazz Festival, the 2017 Canada Games coutdown, an opening spot for Alysha Brilla, and the Winnipeg Free Press' sold out Sunday Brunch Collective (not to mention a big profile in the paper and a live Exchange Sessions video). This month, Bado, releases her debut EP, Entre Deux. Bado takes over The Good Will on September 25 for the release party. Look for Bado to be a judge on Planete BRBR - TFO in November. Bado's song "Si L'amour" is our featured track this week. Get it, check out the full EP, and don't miss Kelly Bado live on stage.
