Lanikai is having's a busy fall. After helping to celebrate Pipe & Hat Music Group's expansion at the end of October, the new project from Imaginary Cities front woman Marti Sarbit is set to make its U.S. debut, release its first album, and have a little bit of brunch with the Winnipeg Free Press. The alt-pop soul outfit hits the stage at Minneapolis' 7th Street Entry on November 10 before returning to Winnipeg's Le Garage on November 12 with some of its American friends for the Manitoba X Minnesota music exchange (check out the playlist and more at manitobamusic.com/mbxmn. Already landing on Spotify playlists, Hidden Pony Records is set to launch Lanikai’s self-titled debut -- which features IC cohort Rusty Matyas, who co-produced two of the album's songs -- on November 18. Next up, Lanikai's live set will be on the menu for the Sunday Brunch Collective on November 20 at Kitchen Sync and stay tuned for the album release December 9 at The Good Will.
