From the album Reunion Tour
Featured track, available from January 27 to February 4
The Weakerthans have been keeping themselves pretty busy lately. The rock poets have hit cities all over North America, played Toronto's The Verge Music Awards, recorded a live to-be-released tour documentary, spent some time in a Falcon Lake cabin recording a dozen tracks as Jim Bryson's backing band, and planned an upcoming February tour to Australia. Somewhere in there, front man John K. Samson found time to release a three-song solo acoustic 7", City Route 85, and play some dates in Europe sans band, too. Home town audiences have a chance to catch the band at the Manitoba Film & Music Showcase on January 31 at the Centennial Concert Hall. The free afternoon show features a dozen other local acts as well as film and television entertainment. To celebrate the second annual show, The Weakerthans are offering their song "Civil Twilight" off the Polaris-nominated Reunion Tour, available until February 4.
