Lindsey White
"Monster"

From the album Renegade

Featured track, available from August 16 to August 24

Lindsey White is ready to unleash her latest music video for "Monster", a deeply personal song off White's latest release Renegade, was directed by Absurd Machine Film's James Rewucki. The release party, which takes over the West End Cultural Centre on August 23, also serves to raise funds for two music programs: Children of the Earth High School (an artist-driven drop-in music program that's been part of the Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts's Music Equals Outreach Program) and The Garrison (a free music and arts program supporting creative community engagement for all ages born out of the late, local musician BJ Garrison’s vision for an accessible artistic community). Known for connecting music and community, White launched The Garrison last fall, has been part of the Children of the Earth's program for five years, and has written hundreds of songs this past year alone with creative students across the province through the Manitoba Arts Council's Artist in the Schools program. She was nominated this spring as a "Woman of Influence" through the Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards. Tune into Global Winnipeg for her interview as part of the Obstacles that Shape Us series to hear more about her story. Her next album is written and you can catch some of the new tunes at the video release show. To keep your ears busy until then, give "Monster" a play and don't miss your chance to catch Lindsey White and her band live on stage.
