Madeleine Roger
"Take My Time"

From the album Cottonwood

Featured track, available from September 13 to September 20

Madeleine Roger is saying goodbye to summer and easing us into the fall this month. The singer/songwriter is set to debut her first solo offering, Cottonwood, for hometown audiences on September 21 at the West End Cultural Centre. The rest of the world will have to wait until October 26 before getting the album in its entirety. Roger co-produced and co-mixed Cottonwood with Lloyd Peterson, who also engineered the project, which was made with gender parity (musicians, audio engineers, producers) at Paintbox Recording in Winnipeg and mastered by Maeghan Ritchat at Lacquer Channel in Toronto. Roger is capping off a busy summer that included a coveted main stage spot at the Winnipeg Folk Festival with brother Lucas, the other half of folks/roots duo Roger Roger. She'll take the sold out Harvest Moon Festival stage in Clearwater September 14-16.  Next up, she'll hit the road at the end of the month for a two-month Canadian tour that'll take her east and west, followed by a tour in the Yukon in 2019. We've got a little glimpse at Cottonwood with the first single, "Take My Time", which also just got the music video treatment. Press play and don't miss Madeleine Roger's album release.
