The Forks is turning up the volume on Canada Day with over 15 local acts hitting multiple stages for all day/night live music. The celebrations cap off with a collaboration between Eagle & Hawk and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, setting the stage for the spectacular fireworks. The band was founded in 1995 by Vince Fontaine, who envisioned a sound combining Indigenous themes, imagery, and elements with roots, rock, and pop. That journey took them across stages in North America and Europe, earned them numerous awards, including a coveted JUNO. In late 2018, they released a 20-year retrospective album and now they've got a brand new single out, "Liberty".
