Burnstick
"Some Kind of Hell"

From the album Kîyânaw

Featured track, available from September 5 to September 13

Burnstick is bringing us into the new season with some new music. The husband and wife folk duo of Plains-Cree guitarist Jason Burnstick and Francophone-Métis singer/songwriter Nadia Gaudet Burnstick is ready to share a new album, Kîyânaw. They'll take the stage at the West End Cultural Centre on September 13 to celebrate, with a little help from opening acts JC Campbell and Justin Lacroix. The acclaimed pair, who picked up a Western Canadian Music Award in 2016 along with several nominations for Fait de beaux rêves, petit ange, has stayed busy releasing a couple of singles, a new lyric video for "Some Kind of Hell", and a video for "Prayer". The latter, which is on the new album, was featured as the closing song for the important award-winning documentary, nîpawistamâsowin: We Will Stand Up. We have "Some Kind of Hell" for you as this week's featured tune. Press play and don't miss Burnstick live on stage.
