Jason Burnstick is building another a busy year of music. The acclaimed Plains Cree singer/songwriter, guitarist, and film composer recently shared his songs and stories in a powerful episode of music documentary series Amplify, composed the soundtrack for the important award-winning documentary film Nîpawitamâsowin: We Will Stand Up, and was recently named Composer of the Year for Best TV Movie at the Leo Award for his work on Indian Road Trip, which is coming to screens next month. He's also one half of award-winning husband-wife duo Burnstick, who landed a Western Canadian Music Award nomination this year for Indigenous Artist of the Year plus other accolades for their debut album, Kîyânaw. There's more new music on the horizon, including an instrumental album, a blues album, and several film projects. We've got his brand new single "Stay" for you this week.
