Up-and-coming bedroom pop trio Virgo Rising is set to launch Sixteenth Sapphire via House of Wonders Records. The EP marks the band's debut recording and features some familiar names including Sam Sarty (Living Hour, Veneer), Isaac Tait (Urban Vacation), and Adam Fuhr (Yes We Mystic). Fuhr also produced and mixed the album, which was mastered by Ryan Morey at Gray Market (Arcade Fire, Besnard Lakes). The band has kept busy since their 2018 formation, including a mentorship with John K. Samson and Christine Fellows through the Winnipeg Folk Festival’s Young Performers Program, an opening spot for and sharing the stage with Begonia at her Fear show at the West End Cultural Centre, and a pair of headlining shows that put them amongst the best of the year according to The Uniter's readers.
