From the album Double Dip
Featured track, available from August 5 to August 12
New Manitoba indie label Dublum Records is ready with its first release, Cyclist's disco-infused Double Dip EP. True to his name, the DJ also known as Moses Mayes' Mark Penner, hand delivered all pre-ordered CDs via bicycle. Cyclist has already released a music video for "Prime Cut," the album's first single, directed by Lena Franford and Troy Giesbrecht. Cyclist will join forces with Goodƒorm DJs, Mike B. and Rob Vilar, for a CD release party on August 5 at The Lo Pub. The EP is already on the national campus radio charts, hitting #2 on the electronic charts. You can download "Prime Cut" from The Loudspeaker, but only until August 12. (It may be a coincidence, but The Lo Pub's walls are currently covered in bike-related art.)
Every week, Manitoba Music offers free a downloadable music track by a great local artist. Available for a limited time from Thursday to Thursday, be sure to grab these songs while you can... and to check back for more!
