Kate Ferris is back to release her second album, After a Slight Delay...! The acclaimed singer/songwriter/storyteller, and ukelele maven, will share her new CD on January 18 at Crescent Fort Rouge United Church, alongside Fred Casey, Ted Turk, and special guest (and prairie flower) Peter Paul Van Camp. Ferris has a powerful history in the local music scene, performing with many artists and releasing her debut, Marie's Forest, in 2015. She's also introduced the ukelele to countless budding artists as an instructor for the Winnipeg Folk Festival's Folk School and through the Manitoba Arts Council's Artist in the Schools program.
