INGIA is making music and change with her latest projects! Fresh from last week's launch of her debut single, the Winnipeg-based, South Sudanese-Canadian vocalist and saxophonist, also known as Joyce German, brings her unique fusion of African influences with jazz, R&B, and gospel to her first EP, Genesis. She'll celebrate the recording with a special show on May 31 at CTRL Space Records. The event will also launch Project Genesis, her new initiative to support those in need in South Sudan, including collecting school supplies and donations. Coming up this December and January, INGIA plans to showcase her work in South Sudan, "aiming to uplift and inspire through music". In March, INGIA also launched the "HERitage: Creating Space for Black & POC Women in the Arts” initiative with plans to create more events.
