Manitoba Music is taking over The Folk Exchange for another event highlighting local talent. The February 4 showcase features acclaimed singer/songwriters Romi Mayes, Scott Nolan, JP Hoe, and Bobby Desjarlais. performing for the influential panelists in town for Manitoba Music’s Music Publishing panel on the same day.
The showcase is part of a kick-off to what will no doubt be another busy and successful year for Mayes, who landed two Western Canadian Music Awards in October. Right after the showcase, Mayes heads back on the road with Jason Nowicki for shows in Alberta and Montana before heading to Austin, Texas for a show during South by Southwest. We've got the title track off her live album, Lucky Tonight, as this week's featured download. Grab it and catch Mayes et al live on February 4.
