Born in the vibrant city of Barcelona and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Laurel Chanté has always found a unique blend of cultural influences to fuel her artistic journey. From a tender age of seven, her innate talent for singing began to shine through, and by nine, they had already begun exploring the art of songwriting. Growing up, she drew inspiration from iconic artists like Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Demi Lovato, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Katy Perry, Jennifer Hudson etc. whose powerful voices and dynamic performances helped shape their musical style.

In 2020, the rnb sensation made a significant mark with the release of her debut single, "Raise 'Em Up," showcasing her talent to the world at only 15 years of age. Building on that momentum, she followed up with another compelling release, "Kilonshele," in 2023, which highlights her Nigerian heritage and explores the vibrant rhythms of Afrobeats. Each single has demonstrated her growth as an artist, with a sound that continues to evolve and captivate audiences. Music has always been a fundamental part of Chanté's identity, driving her to constantly perfect her craft and create pieces that resonate deeply with listeners.

"This year I really want to push myself as far as I can possibly go to create new sounds, bring out new music and put myself on more stages. Although I dont have as many singles out currently, Ive been working and I'm ready to show the world more of who I am and what ive been writing. When I perform and create music that really resonates with me, its hard to explain the intense spark I feel, but I always recognize it and know that music will be something I'll be doing for a long time if not forever" Laurel says.
