Manitoba Country Music Awards Celebrate Local Music Community

The Manitoba Country Music Association celebrated its first awards show in nearly two decades on November 10 at the The Park Theatre, recognizing the hard work and talent of Manitoba's country music community. Hosted by QX104's Leanne Carter, the event featured awards presentation and performances by several local acts.
The MCMA also handed out special honours this year, including the Impact Award to country music trailblazers, Doc Walker, the Manitoba Development Award to radio station QX104, and a Hall of Fame honour for local legend, Ray Martin.
The MCMA is a non-profit organization, dedicated to the promotion, development, and enhancement of all aspects of Manitoba country music at the local, national, and international level. The MCMA endeavors to create venues for the promotion of Manitoba country artists through sponsorship of its own events and involvement in other organization's events.
